The Supervisory Board of ORLEN Upstream appointed Sylwia Kobyłkiewicz to the company’s authorities for the position of a Member of the Management Board. The function of the President - Chief Executive Officer of ORLEN Upstream will be hold by Janusz Radomski for another term of office.
Qualification procedure for selection of the President and Member of the Management Board of ORLEN Upstream were finalized. The function of the President - Chief Executive Officer was entrusted again by the Supervisory Board of ORLEN Upstream to Janusz Radomski who acceded to this position in March 2017. In addition, by way of a decision of the Supervisory Board in ORLEN Upstream of 7 May 2018 Sylwia Kobyłkiewicz was appointed to perform the function of a Member of the Management Board.
Sylwia Kobyłkiewicz is a graduate of the Częstochowa University of Technology where she completed majors in management of enterprises’ finance, financial analysis of enterprises and post-graduate studies in taxes and accounting. Currently she is an MBA student at the Higher School of Trade and Services in Poznań.
In 1992-1995 she performed the managerial functions as a Chief Accountant and Member of the Management Board in various companies.
Sylwia Kobyłkiewicz also has rich professional experience in government and local self-government administration with which she was involved for more than 15 years. Between 2001 and 2007 she was working at the Treasury Control Office in Katowice gaining entitlements of a Fiscal Control Inspector. In 2014-2015 she began to deal with consulting services within the scope of finance and public procurements, administrative proceedings and tax law for local self-governments in Małopolska Voivodeship.
At the beginning of 2016 she acceded to the position of acting Director of the Treasury Control Office in Katowice, next to the position of acting Director of the Treasury Control Office in Kraków. In 2017 she joined ENERGIA WYTWARZANIE SA as a Director of Audit and Security, and afterwards she held the position of a Director of the Financial Department of ENERGA SA Capital Group.
She has been working for PKN ORLEN since February 2018 as a Director of the Audit Office, Financial Control and Corporate Risk Management.
Sylwia Kobyłkiewicz has completed a number of trainings organised by the Ministry of Finance. She is also a Laureate of the Competition of the Minister of Finance in harmonisation of income tax in the light of principles arising from EU Directives.
