Aleksandra Sobieska-Moroz

Aleksandra Sobieska-Moroz is an experienced finance executive with 20 years of professional experience in the oil and energy sector, particularly in hydrocarbon exploration and production, natural gas storage, distribution and trading. Since November 2022, she has served as Chief Financial Officer of the Oddział Centralny Upstream Polska w Warszawie ORLEN S.A., where she is responsible for overseeing the financial area. Her responsibilities include operational and investment controlling, evaluation of oil & gas projects, cost settlement processes as well as managing the cash flows related to the carve-out of domestic upstream and storage assets from ORLEN S.A. and their transfer to ORLEN Upstream Polska Sp. z o.o.

Between 2008 and 2022, she was associated with Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A. (PGNiG), where from 2017 she held the position of Director of the Finance Department. Her responsibilities included operational, investment and strategic controlling, consolidated management and statutory reporting, financial modeling & forecasting and assessment of investment profitability. She also supervised cash flow management and financing for the PGNiG Group, as well as investor relations function. She led teams over 100 people and worked closely with financial institutions and audit firms. She also served as Chair of Supervisory Boards of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa Sp. z o.o., BSiPG ‘Gazoprojekt’ S.A. and PGNiG Technologie S.A.

Aleksandra Sobieska-Moroz is a graduate of the Poznań University of Economics, where she earned a Master’s degree in Management and Marketing with a specialization in Capital Investments and Corporate Financial Strategies. She also studied at Université de Rennes 1 in France. She has participated in numerous specialized training programs in finance, controlling, investment project evaluation in the oil & gas sector and project management.
