Robert Piskunowicz has over 20 years of experience in leading operations, procurement, and contracts in the energy and petrochemical sectors. Throughout his career, he has been responsible for comprehensive procurement processes, the development of contracting strategies, and the oversight of key projects in Europe and international markets. He has extensive expertise in building teams, cost optimization, risk management, and conducting negotiations with key partners.

Before taking his current position at ORLEN Upstream Polska, he held senior managerial roles within the OMV Group, where he developed and implemented comprehensive procurement and contracting strategies for both energy transition projects and upstream ventures. He actively supported the digitalization of procurement and contracting processes, introducing modern analytical tools and data management solutions to enhance operational efficiency. He also led teams responsible for contract, quality, and risk management, supporting the integration of processes within international corporate structures.

From 2007 to 2013, he worked at ORLEN Upstream Sp. z o.o. in the field of procurement and logistics, where he successfully implemented international procurement standards that were recognized in 2011 with the prestigious CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) certification — awarded to the company as the first in Central and Eastern Europe.

Robert Piskunowicz holds globally recognized titles and certifications in project, procurement, and contract management — PMP (Project Management Professional), MRICS (Chartered Surveyor), MCIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), and CCMAP (World Commerce & Contracting). He is currently participating in the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at IESE Business School and is completing his legal studies at the University of Strathclyde in Scotland. He holds an Executive MSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom and has also participated in executive programs at The Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania, USA) and the MIT Sloan School of Management (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA).
